Ironia K-Kids Club Saves 875 Lives!

Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus (MNT) kills one baby every nine minutes, that’s 60,000 babies every year who will never grow up, make their mother’s laugh, play with friends or dream about their future. It costs $1.80 to vaccinate a mother to save her future babies.  Three years ago Kiwanis International again joined forces with UNICEF to Eliminate Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus.  Thanks to twenty K-Kids students and Christine Brembs, Kiwanis Faculty Advisor for Ironia Elementary School K-Kids Club, 875 lives have been saved.  The club raised $1,576.54 during their Trick or Treat for UNICEF collection.  Congratulations and Great Job Ironia K-Kids!
